Shocking occult ritual: Man kills 4YO daughter in Nellore; held

Nellore: A father killed his 4-year-old daughter as a part of an occult ritual in Perareddypally village of the Nellore district. According to the police, Kandra Venu Gopal has twin daughters, Punarvika and Poorvika. On Wednesday, he made his daughter Punarvika sleep on his lap and forced her to gulp down Kumkum and Turmeric while performing occult rituals.

He allegedly strangled her neck when she felt suffocated. The girl became unconscious and was referred to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. Being in critical condition, she died in the hospital on Thursday morning.

What happened?

A few days ago, Venu Gopal's wife Yamini went to her parent's home in Kupparapadu of AS Peta Mandal along with the twins to take care of the standing crop on a piece of land gifted by her parents. On Tuesday night, Venu Gopal brought back the children and performed weird rituals by sprinkling Kumkum and turmeric all over the house. During this ritual, Venu Gopal allegedly put some Kumkum and Turmeric in the mouth of Punarvika and forced her to gulp and hold the backside of her neck tight", the police said.

After the kid cried out loud, her mother Yamini and his uncle, who saw the incident, raised the alarm. Neighbors rushed to the spot and shifted Punvarvika to a private hospital.

Police who were informed about the incident immediately took Venu Gopal into custody.

According to the locals, Venu Gopal has been performing some kind of rituals at home for the last three days. However, they are unaware of what rituals he is doing inside the house.
