Modus operandi
The gangs hailed from a remote village in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh State. Before coming to Hyderabad they would offer their prayers to their Goddesses to help them with their burglaries. Later they would enjoy consuming alcohol, playing cards and other habits after disposing of the stolen property.
They chose to commit property offences because they had no income to meet their lavish expenses. To keep away suspicion, they chose Hyderabad and its surrounding areas as their target for committing property crimes.
Once they reached the suburbs by auto, they would conduct recce in the daytime and target a locality. They would spend the day in an open place near the chosen locality, hide in the bushes and consume alcohol till night. Later, with knives, rods, sticks, and stones they would commit burglary in the selected homes. They visit the locked houses which they have chosen during their recce during day hours and would gain entry by breaking open the main door latch or lock with a cutter.
They would steal the gold and silver jewellery, cash and other valuables from the alramahs and cupboards. In one night, they would target multiple houses and burgle them. They would also steal motorcycles to escape from the scene of the crime.
Later, they will go back to their hometown with the stolen goods and dispose of the stolen property through their other associates in their hometown and share the sale proceedings among them in an equal ratio.
