Sniffer dogs Lucy, Daisy complete 8 months training, felicitated

Hyderabad: Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, VC Sajjanar, IPS, felicitated two newly trained explosive detection sniffer dogs, Lucy and Daisy, on Friday at the Cyberabad CP Office. Their trainers, City Armed Reserve police constables K. Suresh and L. Mahender, were also commended for their work.

The dogs completed eight months of training at the Intelligence Integrated Training Academy (IITA), Moinabad, and will be joining bomb squads for their duty.

Lucy came second in the state for its skills in the detection of explosives in an event organised on February 16, 2021. TS DGP Mahendr Reddy, awarded the dogs on the Passing Out Parade (POP) day held at IITA, Moinabad.

Sajjanar praised the skills of the dogs and rewarded L. Mahender and K. Suresh with a cash prize for supervising their training.

The participants of the programme were CAR Hqtrs CSW ADCP Venkat Reddy, CSW BD team RI Srinivas, CSW dog squad HC Madhusudhan Reddy.
