Speeding car claims life of MBBS student in Hayathnagar, father critical from collision

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old MBBS student lost her life and her father sustained grievous injuries after a speeding car hit them while they were crossing the road on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Yamasani Ishwarya (19), a second-year MBBS student at the Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar.
Accident near Hayathnagar
The incident occurred near RTC Colony under the limits of Hayathnagar police station. The victims were attempting to cross the road when a car, reportedly at high speed, rammed into them.
Victims rushed to hospital
The injured were immediately shifted to a private hospital, where doctors declared the student dead. Her body was later moved to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. Her father, who suffered serious injuries, is currently undergoing treatment.
Police investigation underway
Police have registered a case in connection with the accident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the mishap.
