Hyderabad: The economic offence wing of the CID, Telangana, on 9 March filed a case against the managing committee of Sri Ramalingeswara Weaker Section Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. and T.S.N Murthy for violating the provisions of the Telangana Cooperative Societies Act, rules, and by-laws and misutilizing the cooperative society for collecting donations of Rs. 5,000 from the general public.
The Society is located at Kushaiguda in Kapra mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
The case was filed following a complaint from the district cooperative officer and it is being investigated by the deputy superintendent of police, EOW, CID, Hyderabad. The case was filed under various sections of the IPC and the TS Co-operatives Societies Act 1964.
The CID has asked the victims who were cheated by the society to approach the CID office along with original documents and contact the deputy superintendent of police.
