Srikakulam tragedy: Palasa hospital superintendent, known for serving poor, son killed in car crash
A popular doctor, Ramesh was a messiah for the poor in many villages in Palasa.

Srikakulam: Palasa government hospital superintendent and his son were killed, while his wife and daughter suffered severe injuries in a car crash near Peddanaidu Peta, Nandigam Mandal in Srikakulam district.
The deceased have been identified as Dr. M Ramesh (45), and his Sankalp (10). His wife Dr. Prasanna Lakshmi and daughter Saira are being treated at Palasa Government Hospital. Their condition is said to be critical.
According to the police, Dr. Ramesh and his family were traveling to Palasa after attending an event in Vizag. The overspeeding car hit the divider and somersaulted before falling into the fields.
Soon after the incident, villagers of Palasa reached the hospital area. A popular doctor, Ramesh was a messiah for the poor in many villages in Palasa. His wife Prasanna Lakshmi is also a gynecologist in a private hospital.
