Student suicide: IIIT Basara student hangs to death

Telangana: In yet another student death, a PUC first-year student of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), popularly known as IIIT Basara campus, in the Nirmal district of Telangana, died by suicide on Tuesday.
The student, a native of Gorekal village, Kotapalli Mandal in Sangareddy district, was found hanging in the bathroom on the varsity's campus.
Earlier in the day, the student wrote her physics exam and returned to her hostel. Even after hours, she did not come out of the bathroom.
When the students found something suspicious, they immediately informed to the authorities. When the management broke down the bathroom doors, she was found hanging.
She was rushed to the university health center, and was later transferred to the Bhainsa Hospital. Despite efforts, the doctors declared her dead upon examination.
According to the police, the reason for her extreme step is yet to be known. A case has been registered.
