Suryapet shocker: TRS ward member's son, accomplice held for raping 20Y0 woman

Suryapet: Kodad police have arrested TRS ward member Mohammed Khaja's son, Sheik Ghouse Pasha, and his accomplice Sai Kiran Reddy for gangraping a 20-year-old woman.
The incident came to light on Monday when the injured girl approached the police.
Police said the girl's mother is reportedly a domestic help. Police said the victim knew accused Sai Kiran Reddy.
The incident occurred when Reddy called the victim to a private room and offered her liquor which she refused. The complainant said the accused later offered her a spiked soft drink. After she consumed it, she fell asleep. She was confined in a room for two days. During the period, Sheik Ghouse Pasha, son of Mohammed Khaja the ward member of ward number 26 also got involved in the crime.
When she returned home on Sunday night, the victim narrated the incident to her mother. The victim said Sheik Ghouse Pasha visited the house several times.
Later, the victim along with her family members approached the police. A case was registered against the accused under various sections of IPC.
The victim was sent for medical examination, said Narsimha Rao, Circle Inspector, Kodad town.
Police later arrested both the accused and they confessed to the crime. The victim was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
