Hyderabad: In a major development in the suicide case of a software engineer, Seetharam, who ended his life by jumping into Hussain Sagar in February, the police have arrested three individuals, including his wife.
The arrests follow a thorough investigation triggered by a detailed 19-page suicide note left behind by the victim.
The arrests
Following the investigation into the suicide note, the police have taken three suspects into custody: the victim’s wife, Renuka and two other men, identified as Ramana Reddy and Shravan. Police confirmed that these individuals were linked to the events described by the deceased in his final written statement.
Suicide note details personal turmoil
Seetharam, a native of Markapuram in Andhra Pradesh, who was employed as a software engineer with a reported monthly salary of Rs 2 lakh, had detailed his personal turmoil in a 19-page note found after his death.
In the document, he alleged that his wife, Renuka, maintained extra-marital affairs with three different men.
Expressing deep anguish, he wrote that despite his efforts to address the issue and his financial support for the family, his wife’s behaviour remained unchanged.
Affair goes viral on social media
The police investigation uncovered further disturbing details. It was found that Renuka and one of her alleged partners, Ramana Reddy, had previously posted private videos of themselves on Instagram.
The incident, which gained significant attention due to the high-profile nature of the victim’s profession and the contents of his final message, has triggered intense discussions across the city. The police have registered a case based on the contents of the suicide note and are continuing their investigation into the exact circumstances that led to the victim’s tragic decision.
