Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have recovered unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 2.72 lakh and uncovered several procedural violations during surprise inspections conducted across Telangana on Thursday.
The statewide raids targeted Road Transport Authority (RTA) check posts and offices, as well as Sub-Registrar offices in multiple districts.
ACB teams carried out searches at the Salabatpur RTA Check Post in Kamareddy district, along with RTA offices in Peddapalli, Trimulgherry and Uppal. In addition to seizing cash, officials identified multiple irregularities in administrative procedures and documentation.
Further inspections were conducted at sub-registrar offices in Burgampadu (Khammam district) and Bheemdevarapalli (Warangal district), resulting in the recovery of an additional Rs 91,000 in unaccounted money. Authorities also noted discrepancies in the functioning of these offices.
According to ACB sources, detailed reports of the findings will be submitted to the State government for further departmental and legal action against the concerned officials.
