Telangana: Cybercrime offender traced to Rajasthan; Rs 1.58 lakhs recovered
The CCPS, Karimnagar succeeded in tracing the identity of the accused and arrested him in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on April 19

The accused was arrested from Jodhpur, Rajasthan and the police managed to recover Rs 1.58 lakhs from him.
Case details
The accused Arun Choudhary (34) is a resident of Jodhpur, working as an electrician in Garrison Engineer Banar (Military Engineering Services), Jodhpur.
He lured the victim Sai Krishna Goud through the Telegram app with the profile name āAgent Richard oftā to invest in crypto trading. The victim, believing the version of the accused, transferred Rs 1,58,000 in multiple transactions to the accusedās bank account through UPI from April 7 to 16. Later, the accused deleted his profile from Telegram.
The CCPS, Karimnagar succeeded in tracing the identity of the accused and arrested him in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on April 19 and produced him before the magistrate at Jodhpur and brought him to Karimnagar on a transit warrant. The accused is being produced before the Karimnagar court for judicial remand.
As per the information collected so far, the accused is involved in two more cases in Tamil Nadu.
A case has been registered under sections 420 IPC, section 66D of IT Act, CCPS, Karimnagar. The accused will be taken into police custody for further probe and to establish other crimes and criminal links.
