Hyderabad: Police have booked Labour, Woman, and Child Development Minister Ch Malla Reddy's brother Narasimha Reddy for organizing card games and a liquor party at Bowenpally in violation of COVID­-19 guidelines.

There were 13 senior citizens present when police raided the venue.

Acting on a tip­off, Commissioner's Task Force (north zone) team raided the private building at Chandana Gardens. Preliminary investigations reveal that Narasimha Reddy, 66, was the organizer of the 'makeshift gambling club' which was running for months now.

Police found cards, a huge quantity of liquor, cooked mutton and other material provided at the venue.

Police seized Rs 1,40,740 in cash and thirteen mobile phones from the gaming club. All the 13 accused are elderly people and most of them have retired from services.

Commissioner's Task Force team seized the material and handed it over to the Bowenpally police, which registered cases under Disaster Management Act and Gaming Act. The accused were arrested and later released on station bail.
