Hyderabad: A 22-year-old man allegedly murdered his younger sister after a heated argument on Monday in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana.
The dispute arose when the woman, aged 21, continued to make videos and post them on a social media platform, despite her brother warning her not to do so, as he disliked it.
The woman had recently completed her Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course and was working as an apprentice in a government hospital.
On several occasions, her brother had cautioned her about posting videos online, but she disregarded his warnings and asserted that she would do as she pleased.
During the argument that ensued on July 24, the man once again warned his sister, but she defiantly maintained her stance. Fueled by anger, he struck her on the head with a pestle, causing severe injuries.
The family immediately rushed the injured woman to a hospital in Khammam, and later decided to shift her to another hospital in Warangal for better treatment. However, she passed away during the journey on Monday night.
Following a complaint filed by the woman's mother, the police registered a murder case, and the brother was subsequently arrested during the course of the investigation.
