Hyderabad: As many as 15 teams of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted surprise checks in 12 RTA (Regional Transport Authority) offices including RTA check posts across Telangana.
During the searches, unaccounted money amounting to Rs 2,70,720 was seized and several irregularities were found in paperwork on the premises.
The checks were conducted at RTA offices in Malakpet, Bandalguda, Tolichowki, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Mahabubabad, and RTA check posts in Salur, Nizamabad, Bhoraj, Adilabad, Aswaraopet and Khammam.
The report will be sent to the government and appropriate action will be taken on the guilty officials, the ACB said in a public notice.
