Establishing connections to Akhila Priya
The police established that Akhila Priya had planned and executed the crime along with Bhargava Ram, Guntur Srinu, and other accomplices in order to grab the land and extort money from the victims. On the day of the kidnapping, i.e. 5 January, Akhila Priya, while travelling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad, continued to communicate with the accused persons from her residence at Lodha Bellezza till the morning hours of 6 January. The police also proved that she regularly used her regular mobile number and her temporary mobile number to communicate with the accused persons.
According to the police, on 5 January, the accused persons started from Lodha Bellezza apartment in Kukatpally for MGM School in Yousufguda. They gathered there along with five four-wheeler vehicles. They had removed the original number plates of the vehicles and used fake number plates. Guntur Srinu and Bhargava Ram were continuously receiving instructions from Akhila Priya, the police found.
Gunturu Srinu used his temporary number to call Akhila Priya on her regular mobile number. Later, using the same number, the kidnappers made the victim call DCP north zone. Efforts are being continued to apprehend the absconding persons who were involved in this case, the police said.
