Hyderabad: Tirumalgherry Police raided four shops for allegedly selling counterfeit items of Pidilite Industries.

Shaik Khasim, an authorized representative of Pidilite Industries Limited, filed a complaint about the sale of counterfeit goods under the guise of reputable brands, particularly those manufactured by his company. The fake products sold include Fevikwik, M seal, Fevicol, Araldite, and other items.

Police immediately swung into action and raided the shops across Tirumalgherry. The identified shops partaking in this illegal operation include Sri Raghavendra Traders, Sri Venkateshwara Enterprises, Sri Venkata Sai Traders, and Sharada Kirana Shop, situated in Lal Bahadur Colony, Lothukunta, Green Field Colony in Alwal, and Lalbazar, respectively.

The subsequent investigations led to the identification of the shop owners involved in this illicit trade. They have been identified as PV Sandeep, P. Nanda Kumar, Peddi Srinivas, and C. Laxmikanth. The accused were allegedly deceiving customers and potentially violating copyright laws by selling counterfeit products under the brand name of Pidilite Industries Limited.

Trimulgherry Police have registered a case under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act.
