Tollywood actress Shwetha Kumari arrested by NCB Mumbai in drug bust
The sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai have arrested Hyderabad resident and Telugu film industry artist Shwetha Kumari in a drug case.

Mumbai: The sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai have arrested Hyderabad resident and Telugu film industry artist Shwetha Kumari in a drug case.
The officials in a drive against drug supply in Maharashtra and Goa has affected a seizure of 400 gram of Mephedrone( MD) worth Rs 10 lakhs on 2ndJanuary. In a further probe, searches were conducted at Crown Business Hotel situated at Mira-Bhayander area and on 4th January which led to the arrest of Shwetha kumari (27) in connection with the seizure.
The NCB has launched systematic operational activities to apprehend the main supplier along with peddlers also. NCB is also focusing on deep financial investigation in seizure cases of interstate drug syndicate, said West Zone director Sameer Wankhede.
The Telugu film artist acted in four films as a second lead however has been away from the industry for a while.
What led to the drug bust was the arrest of a peddler by name Mohd Chand at Bandra railway station- west on 2nd January. Further probe into his contacts and network, led the NCB to a supplier by name Mohd Saeed. When a raid was conducted in a hotel in Mira road of Mumbai, the team found artist Shwetha Kumari with Mohd Saeed.
While the supplier is on a run, the NCB arrested Shwetha Kumari and recorded her statments on Monday.
