Hyderabad: The body of a 32-year-old tribal woman who was gang-raped and killed in Sangareddy was found on 5 November. The police have registered a case and detained three persons in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the woman had separated from her husband around 12 years ago and lived with her two sons at Kollur tanda in Tellapur municipality on the outskirts of Hyderabad. On Wednesday night, three persons - Madhu, Chandulal, and Kutumba Rao ā visited the woman's house and asked her to come with them for some work.
However, the woman did not return home and there was no clue about the three men she had left with. While the family members were searching for her, the villagers found her body on the outskirts and informed them.
The police found that the three men took her to the spot, forced her to consume alcohol, and raped her. They then killed her and fled the spot.
The RC Puram police of Cyberabad commissionerate, under whose jurisdiction the area falls, registered a case of gang rape and murder and started an investigation.
