Two Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Malakpet with fake birth certificates, Aadhaar cards; 4 agents held

Hyderabad: Two Bangladeshi persons were arrested in Hyderabad for illegally entering the country. Further, four facilitators/agents were also arrested for allegedly preparing fake and forged birth certificates and other documents for Bangladeshi nationals.

The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone team, along with the staff of Malakpet PS, identified the Bangladeshi nationals as Mohammad Hasibul and Rohan Saha. Both are natives of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The agents have been identified as Mohd Muqeed, Temura Sai Kiran, Gaddameedi Rajnikant and Duddu Sudheer Kumar.

The police seized a Xerox copy of a Bangladesh passport, fake documents such as Aadhaar card, birth certificates and voter cards for both accused.

Case details

Mohammad Hasibul is a native of Dhaka. Four years ago, through traffickers, he crossed from Benapole District in Bangladesh and entered West Bengal through the donkey route and paid Rs 25,000 to traffickers, which is a significant border crossing point between Bangladesh and India.

He stayed at South Hourah, Kolkata, and started working as a karate trainer by earning about 20,000 per month and obtained a fake Aadhaar card by calling himself Jovan Chowdhury.

In December 2023, through Facebook, he became friends with a woman, Jaya Chowdary, a resident of Malakpet, and he fraudulently married her by hiding his genuine identity and shifted to Malakpet. He started doing an online garment sales business and also working as Zomato and Swiggy food delivery agent for his livelihood.

Mohammad Hasibul, while staying in Malakpet, eight months ago, through Mohd Muqeed and his facilitators T Sai Kiran and G Rajjikanth, obtained a fake birth certificates from Narsingi Municipality as if he was born in Ranga Reddy District.

Based on the fake birth certificate, Mohammad Hasibul obtained an Indian voter card through facilitator G Rajnikant and also applied for an original Aadhaar card to prove himself as an Indian citizen.

Mohammad Hasibul made friends with a Bangladeshi citizen by the name Rohan Saha, who was illegally staying in Kolkata. Meanwhile, to support him and his pregnant wife in the month of March 2025, he brought him to Malakpet illegally without any valid documents and sheltered him at his residence at Malakpet and arranged a fake Aadhaar card.

The apprehended accused persons, along with seized material handed over to SHO, Malakpet PS for taking necessary action.
