Hyderabad: The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, Hyderabad, apprehended two drug offenders, who were found in possession of the narcotic substances MDMA and OG.
The police seized 8 g of MDMA and 0.8 g of OG from their possession, which they were trying to sell to needy customers in Hyderabad.
The total worth of the contraband is said to be Rs 1 lakh.
The accused have been identified as Anwar Hussain (33), an IT recruiter and a resident of Rajendranagar; Burra Sampath (31), a car driver and a resident of Bandlaguda Jagir.
Another person, identified as Charan, is absconding.
Case details
The accused persons already have a criminal background. Their earnings were not sufficient to fulfil their lavish lives. They hatched a plan to sell the drug to needy customers to earn easy money. To procure the drugs, they contacted Charan, a drug peddler residing in Bengaluru, who assured them to supply the drugs.
The accused transferred Rs 38,000 online on January 8. After they received the drugs, the accused began to sell them in the city to known persons.
On January 14, the West Zone Task Force team, based on credible information, apprehended them and recovered the narcotics from them. The accused persons, along with the seized material, were handed over to SHO, Attapur PS for further action.
