Two nabbed in Medchal with ganja worth Rs 35 lakh
Rinita Raita visited his residence in Hyderabad. During her visit, she informed him about cultivating ganja plants in their village and asked him to sell the same to customers in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Two persons have been arrested with dry ganja worth Rs 35 lakh in Medchal. The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, Hyderabad, along with SR Nagar Police, apprehended the accused who were found in possession of 70 kg of dry ganja, a narcotic.
The accused have been identified as Maniel Dalabhera (30) and Ismail Raita (48)
Case details
Maniel is a native of Patangapadar Village of Kirama Panchayat, Odisha. Due to poor financial condition, he decided to cultivate ganja plants as his elders were previously cultivating ganja on agricultural land measuring about half an acre in his village.
During this period, he contacted his cousin Rinita Raita and thereafter planted ganja plants in his father’s agricultural land measuring about half an acre. The accused Ismail Raita is a native of Ali Singh Village, Seron Mandal, Odisha.
However, the income was not sufficient to maintain his family. Therefore, in November 2024, he, along with his wife, came to Hyderabad in search of employment. After coming to Hyderabad, he secured a job as a fitter in a company situated at Industrial Area, Medchal, Hyderabad.
While they are residing at Medchal, Rinita Raita visited his residence in Hyderabad. During her visit, she informed him about cultivating ganja plants in their village and asked him to sell the same to customers in Hyderabad.
Upon hearing the same and due to financial difficulties, he visited the Dhoolpet area and enquired about potential ganja customers. There, some persons expressed their willingness to purchase ganja. Subsequently, those persons came to know about his residential area at Medchal and on several occasions came to that area and purchased dry ganja from him.
A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
