Vacation ends in tragedy: 22 vacationers injured after bus overturns at Peddathamarapalli

Srikakulam: Around 22 passengers were severely injured after a bus overturned on the national highway. The incident happened on Sunday at midnight near Peddathamarapalli, in the Srikakulam district.
According to Nandigam SI Mohammad Yasin, a total of 39 passengers from West Bengal were on board a bus. The passengers were going to Kerala to spend their vacation. When the bus reached Nandigam, the bus driver dozed off and lost control. The bus hit the culvert and overturned.
The injured were shifted to Tekkali government hospital. Four of the critically injured passengers were shifted to Srikakulam RIMS hospital for specialized treatment.
A case has been registered.
