According to Nallakunta Inspector Jagadeeswar Rao, the incident unfolded when Begum, also known as Fatima Bibi alias Asim (65), from Dammaiguda, attempted to stop bus number 107 V/L from the Dilsuknagar depot at the Vidyanagar intersection.
Due to the busy nature of the intersection, the driver opted not to stop the bus at that location, which seemed to infuriate Begum.
Enraged, Begum smashed the bus mirror of the bus with an empty beer bottle, causing the driver to bring the vehicle to an abrupt halt. The conductor, Swapna, exited the bus to confront Begum and attempted to restrain her.
In a shocking turn of events, Begum threatened Swapna by revealing she had a snake in her bag. She then threw the four-foot-long snake at Swapna. The snake landed on Swapna and then slid to the ground, causing passengers and nearby people to run away in fear.
Police quickly arrived at the scene and detained Begum. A thorough search for the snake was conducted but yielded no results.
Police confirmed that Begum was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. They were trying to figure out why the woman had a snake in her bag.
Inspector Jagadeeswar Rao stated that a case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the full extent of the incident.
