Hyderabad: The Vigilance and Enforcement officials of Nalgonda and Hyderabad have conducted routine checks against vehicles on the national highways to crack a whip on the violators. In these routine checks, a total of Rs 9,65,599 (Rs 9.65 lakhs) tax was levied by the officials in both zones.
In the first raid, the RVEO Nalgonda led by inspector Sk Ghouse conducted a route check at the Chityal and Bibinagar toll gates of Nalgonda and Yadadri Bhongir districts. In the check, a total tax of approximately Rs 2,63,800 was levied.
In a separate raid, the V&E officials of RVEO Hyderabad City I unit led by inspector Abhinav Chaturvedi along with MVI and royalty inspector of mines department conducted a route check on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday at ORR and Gandi Maisamma surrounding areas.
In this routine check, vehicles were seized and approximately tax levied for an amount of Rs 3,99,700, stone metal, bricks and sand vehicles without bills and a penalty of Rs 3,02,099 was imposed. Hence, a total tax of Rs 7,01,799 was levied.
