Visit to Yadagirigutta  turns tragic for two families from Cholapally

Hyderabad: Onthe 3rd of November a fatal road accident was reported on the Outer-Ring-Road ( at 143 km stone) in Hyderabad. The incident is another example of why drunk driving is dangerous to life.

Two families, all residents of Cholapally village of Farooqnagar mandal hired one Tavera car (AP28DA5438) the previous day as they planned to visit Yadagirigutta located in the outskirts of Hyderabad. On their return , the adult men of the two families consumed alcohol including the driver. On reaching 143 km on ORR, the vehicle hit the iron crash barriers as the driver lost control. This resulted in the death of a child Vislawath Akil, son of V Shanker, age about 6 and remaining passengers Vislavath Shanker (35) Vislawath Monika@Kamal (28) Vislawath Akishitha (8) sustained severe injuries. While the condition of few Vislawath Shanker(27), Ramadas (53) continues to be critical.

The injuries were so severe that the right shoulder of Radha (35) had to be amputated. All the ten members in the family sustained head injuries and were found profusely bleeding, while died on the spot. Police identified the Tavera driver as Managalaram. A case was registered under section 611/2020,U/s 304 Part-II, 337 of IPC and Sec 185 MV Act and the investigation is under progress."Though knowing that driving in a drunken condition and at high speed is dangerous and can cause serious accidents, the driver and the family took the risk. The accused (driver ) driving license has been being seized and forwarded to the RTA for cancellation" said the cops.

Cyberabad Traffic police appeals public to follow speed limits while driving any vehicle on all roads. Apart from having the valid driving license, the public shall also have knowledge and skill of driving vehicles on different roads and circumstances, cops added.
