Vizag couple die by suicide after families reject marriage proposal
A couple ended their lives at their residence in Sundarayya Colony under Gajuwaka police station limits in Vizag on 18 December as their parents were against the two getting married.

Visakhapatnam: A couple ended their lives at their residence in Sundarayya Colony under Gajuwaka police station limits in Vizag on 18 December as their parents were against the two getting married.
The victims have been identified as B. Avinash (33) and M. Nagamani. The woman was a widow and her husband, who lived in Andaman, had died recently.
On Thursday, the couple approached the Parawada police in Vizag city seeking protection from their family members who were against their marriage. The police had counselled the parents.
Avinash and Nagamani had rented a house near Gajuwaka and were planning to get married on Friday in a temple. They had also planned to register their marriage. However, the couple died by suicide on Friday. The neighbours found their bodies and alerted the police.
The Gajuwaka police registered a case and investigation is on to ascertain the exact reasons for their deaths. The police said that they didn't find any suicide letter but they are inspecting their phones.
According to the locals, the couple's parents were against the marriage because they were from different castes and the woman's husband had died recently.
