Vizianagaram gang rape: 3 more accused held
Vizianagaram police arrested three more persons involved in the rape of a single mother on the night of May 2. The main accused in the case, Majji Krishna alias Cherry, was taken into custody soon after the incident.

Vizianagaram: Vizianagaram police arrested three more persons involved in the rape of a single mother on the night of May 2. The main accused in the case, Majji Krishna alias Cherry, was taken into custody soon after the incident.
DSP (Disha Police) T Trinadh said the victim, a single mother of two kids, has been working at a tea shop. On May 2, Gokada Santosh along with his friends Majji Krishna alias cherry, Y Srinivas alias Don Srinu, and L Prasad Kumar alias Donny had hosted a booze party in the area. In an inebriated condition, they knocked on the door of the woman who was having dinner along with her foster brother Vijay.
They barged into the house and thrashed the woman and Vijay. Later Cherry allegedly raped her. Vijay sought the help of a woman in the neighborhood. By the time she came, all of the accused had fled the spot. Later they returned and fought with the woman, who tried to help the victim.
Cherry then raped the victim for the second time.
