Vizianagaram police rescued two abducted children and arrested the accused within two hours. Police later handed over the children to their parents and launched the investigation.

Vizianagaram: Vizianagaram police rescued two abducted children and arrested the accused within two hours. Police later handed over the children to their parents and launched the investigation.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bobbili, K Mohanrao said G Sobha from Vijayawada was having family ties with Kameswara Rao of Donkinivalasa village in Vizianagaram district. She used to visit Donkinivalasa village and stay at Kameswara Rao's house.

On Sunday she took Kameswa Rao's 11- month old- boy Dhanvith and 13-year-old K.Susmitha on the pretext of buying them chocolates and soft drinks.

Later she fled with two children in a car.

After Sobha and the children didn't return, Kameswara Rao and his family members launched a search and alerted Badangi police.

Badangi police swung into action and identified the kidnapper with the help of mobile phone tower location technology.

Police rescued the children and nabbed the kidnapper in Rajam within two hours. They handed over the children to their parents and registered a case against Sobha.

Police said the investigation revealed that she rent the car to commit the crime. She even said that she had a dispute with her husband and knows Kameswara Rao's mother.

She reportedly had requested a loan of Rs two lakhs from Kameswara Rao's family. When Rao denied lending money, she tried to kidnap the children, police said.
