Vizianagaram: Retired assistant director arrested for unnatural sex with cow

Vizianagaram : A 62-year-old retired government employee was arrested for allegedly having unnatural sex with a cow in Vizianagaram. The incident was captured on camera. The incident took place at Kancharam village under Rajam rural police station limits in Vizianagaram district a few days ago but came to light after a video of the act went viral.

Police Inspector D Naveen Kumar identified the man as P Ramakrishna of Kancharam, who retired as Assistant Director of AP Lands and Survey department. Investigation revealed that Ramakrishna is a habitual offender and has been involved in unnatural sex with cows and pet dogs for the last few years. Though relatives of the accused knew about it, they kept a distance from him.

``We observed that Ramakrishna is physically and mentally well. But we don't know what is the exact reason for his unnatural behavior,'' Naveen Kumar said. He said that based on the complaint, police registered a case under section 377 of IPC (whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with a human or animal shall be punished) and other relevant sections related to cruelty against the animal.

The accused has been sent to judicial remand.
