War on drugs: Two peddlers held at Haythnagar; 358-kilo ganja seized
Police arrested two members of an interstate ganja smuggling gang in Hayathnagar on Monday.

The cops seized 358 kg of ganja, a car, and other items, all worth Rs 87 lakh, from them. The accused have been identified as Shivaji Chowhan, 20, and Shivaji Chowhan, 43, both natives of Zaheerabad. The duo had bought the contraband from Dommo of East Godavari district for Rs 3,000 per kg and sold it in Mumbai through Arjun (absconding) for Rs 20,000.
However, two other members, Arjun and Dommu, of the gang are absconding. They hail from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra
Police intercepted the vehicle near the Peddamberpet bus stop. During the search, cops recovered 358 kg of ganja.
"They were transporting the contraband to Mumbai when they were arrested," said Sunpreet Singh, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) LB Nagar.
Shivaji Chowhan, 43 was involved in peddling since 2019 and had customers in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The accused were produced before the court
