Vizianagaram: The Bobbili Rural police have discovered that a man who died under suspicious circumstances was murdered by his wife and her lover.
On Friday K. Venkata Ramana died allegedly due to a cardiac arrest at Paradhi village under Bobbili Rural police station limits in Vizianagaram district. The locals found some injuries on the man's body during the cremation and they alerted the police.
The police, led by inspector Nageswara Rao, investigated the suspicious death. Their investigation revealed that Venkata Ramana was murdered by his wife Lalitha and her lover R. Narasinga Rao.
The police said Lalitha was having an illicit affair with Narasinga. Ramana had warned his wife several times but she had ignored his warnings and continued the affair. Upset with Lalitha's behavior, Ramana sent her to her parent's home a few months ago.
Lalitha had recently come back to Paradhi village to live with her husband. However, she continued her affair with Narasinga. On Thursday night, Ramana saw Narasinga and Lalitha at his home. When he tried to beat them up, the duo strangled him to death. Lalitha then claimed that Ramana had died of cardiac arrest.
The investigation also revealed that Lalitha and Narasinga had decided to kill Ramana a few months ago. The two have been arrested and sent to remand.
