Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a woman lost her life after being struck by a truck carrying LPG cylinders at Nacharam.

The deceased was identified as Sandiri Neeta (38), a resident of Amberpet.

Nacharam Inspector G Rudvir Kumar said that the incident happened around 8 am at HMT Junction in Nacharam when Neeta had gone to drop her children off at Johnson Grammar High School in Mallapur.

A truck carrying LPG cylinders collided with her scooter and she fell off the vehicle. Neeta sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The truck was carrying gas cylinders and was travelling from Cherlapally IOC depot to Ramnagar, Nallakunta, he said.

ā€œWe have booked a case against the truck driver following a complaint from her husband S Vijay. Further investigation is on,ā€ the Inspector said.

She had gone to drop her child to school who was not aware of mother's fate until returned home.
