Woman killed, daughter critical after stalker attacks them at home in Visakhapatnam
The girl suffered critical injuries and is currently in the hospital

Visakhapatnam: In a shocking incident, a woman lost her life, while her daughter is in critical condition after a youth attacked them with a knife for rejecting his love proposal.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at Swayamkrushinagar of Kommadi, under PM Palem police station limits in Visakhapatnam.
The accused has been identified as Naveen, a resident of Madhurawada.
According to the police, Naveen broke into the house at around 12:30 pm and tried to attack the girl as she refused to marry him. During the scuffle, the girlās mother, who tried to protect her daughter, got stabbed and died on the spot.
The girl suffered critical injuries and is currently in the hospital. The accused immediately fled the spot. According to the preliminary inquiry, Naveen was harassing her for some time under the pretence of love and marriage.
Hours after the incident, Naveen was apprehended near the Srikakulam district.
After he was informed about the incident, chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and home minister Vangalpudi Anitha spoke to the police officials. The CM asked the officials to provide better treatment to the injured girl and take stringent action against the accused and assured that justice would be served.
