Love affair goes awry; woman stabs boyfriend to death in West Godavari district

Identified as Tataji, he was stabbed when he was riding his bike with girlfriend as pillion.

Police have also arrested the woman. She has been identified as Pavani of Malakapalli village in Tallapudi Mandal.

Kovvur rural CI M Suresh Babu said Tataji and Pavani were in a relationship. However, the parents of Pavani were against the affair. They even stopped her from going to college in 2018.

However, they again came in contact when Pavani joined the college in Kovvur a year later. Police said after some months, Tataji started ignoring Pavani. Police said he had even sent clips of his intimate moments with other women to Pavani's mobile. Enraged, Pavani decided to eliminate Tataji.

She hatched a plan and asked her boyfriend to take her on a bike ride. When they reached the outskirts of Dharmavaram village, Pavani stabbed Tataji multiple times. She even stabbed him when he fell from the bike. Tataji died on the spot.
