Youth allegedly kills father over property disputes in Kushaiguda; arrested

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old youth killed his father brutally in broad daylight over alleged property disputes in Kushaiguda of Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Saturday.
The incident occurred on the main road near the ECIL bus terminal, leaving locals horrified.
According to police, the victim, Arelli Mogili (45), a resident of Lalapeta, Secunderabad, worked for a Packers and Movers company. His son, Saikumar (25), also worked at the same company.
Family members revealed that Mogiliās addiction to alcohol often led to frequent quarrels at home. Additionally, ongoing property disputes between father and son have worsened tensions in recent months.
Frustrated by the constant conflicts, Saikumar allegedly plotted to kill his father. On Saturday afternoon, he followed Mogili, who was traveling by bus from Lalapeta.
When Mogili got off the bus at the ECIL terminal, Saikumar attacked him from behind with a knife, stabbing him approximately 15 times.
Shocked bystanders rushed Mogili to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead while undergoing treatment.
The brutal attack was captured on CCTV cameras in the vicinity. Using the footage, the police identified and arrested Saikumar.
