Visakhapatnam: Vice Admiral Agenda Bahadur Singh on Monday said Eastern Naval Command (ENC) is fully prepared to foil any design of the enemy in the Bay of Bengal.

Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh was speaking to the media after assuming the charge of Eastern Naval Command (ENC) at a ceremonial parade at the Naval Base on Monday

"ENC has been at the forefront of all the activities that we have ensured in the maritime domain after the incident of Galwan of Northern Borders. We will continue to be ready for any eventuality in the large scale of operation in the Bay of Bengal, Southern India Ocean," he said.

Vice Admiral Singh said the Navy is fully prepared for future warfare. "We have good assets and skilled men and women. The destiny of ENC and the Visakhapatnam city have always been interlinked. We look forward to interacting with Vizagites as well as the people in the coastal states to improve our security," he added.

Earlier, Vice-Admiral Singh took over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) Eastern Naval Command from Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain, who has been transferred to New Delhi.

Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain has been appointed as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC).

A ceremonial parade was held at the Naval Base. The parade was attended by all Flag Officers and Commanding Officers of ships, submarines, and naval establishments.
