Secunderabad MCEME commandant Lieutenant General TSA Narayanan gets AVSM
Lieutenant General Narayanan, who is also the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, was presented the award during Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

Lieutenant General Narayanan, who is also the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, was presented the award during Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

President, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, conferred Gallantry awards to the personnel for displaying conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage, and extreme devotion to duty.
Earlier on Tuesday, Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu from Telangana, who was killed repulsing an attack by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) at Galwan Valley in Ladakh in June 2020, was awarded the second-highest military gallantry award, the Maha Vir Chakra, posthumously by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Babu's wife B. Santoshi and mother Manjula received the award at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence minister Rajnath Singh, and top military brass of the country. Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu was the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar regiment.
