Vizag: Over 3,500 policemen to be deployed for PFR, MILAN

On February 21, President Ram Nath Kovind reviews the fleet 2 km off Visakhapatnam Coast. On February 27, the international parade would be held. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be the chief guest at the parade. Union and state ministers will also be present.
AP Director General of Police Gautam Sawang reviewed the security arrangements for the two major events. Additional DGP (Law and Order) Ravi Shankar Ayyanar, Greyhounds additional DGP Rajiv Kumar Meena, Vizag commissioner Manish Kumar Sinha, and Visakha Range IG KV Ranga Rao attended the meeting. A team of senior naval personnel gave a PowerPoint presentation to the DGP.

Sources said around 3,500 police personnel would be drafted for the duties to ensure a secure environment. CCTV cameras will be installed at key locations and sniffer dogs would be deployed at the railway station, RTC Complex, and the Visakhapatnam International Airport.
