Dejected over poor health, woman commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Apparently upset over her health issues, a 27-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide at Nallakunta in Hyderabad on Friday. Peddi Madhuri hanged herself inside the medical shop owned by her husband Srinivas, said the police.

Madhuri and Srinivas were married for about eight years ago. A year later, she started having seizures and psychiatric issues. Despite treatment at various places, Madhuri's health never improved.

The police said the couple got into an argument on Friday morning. In the afternoon, Madhuri visited their medical shop near Fever hospital. When Srinivas stepped out for some work, she went to the washroom attached to the store and allegedly hanged herself.

The Nallakunta police have registered a case and started an investigation.
