Delhi Man infected with COVID-19 dies in AP

Nellore: A 56-year-old man from Delhi died of coronavirus at Government General Hospital in Nellore.

This is the first COVID related death in Nellore city.

The man, who had arrived in the city recently, was suffering from fever and respiratory issues. He had reported to Government General Hospital on April 10. Doctors immediately sent his swabs for tests.

On April 11, he, however, died in the hospital. Two days later his tests came back positive. On April 14, the last rites of the man were conducted as per the government protocol.

It may be recalled that an orthopedic doctor from the city, who was primary contact of Tablighi Jamaat returnee, died in Chennai on Monday morning.
