Delhi Women to travel for free in all State run buses from today
By Anurag Mallick Published on 29 Oct 2019 6:29 AM GMTHyderabad: Amidst all the negative headlines regarding the air quality levels and many other aspects, the Delhi Government have managed to pull out a masterpiece out of their bags as they decided that all the women in Delhi will get to travel for free in all State run buses from tomorrow 29 October, onwards.
This move came in as the Arvind Kejriwal led government planned a seasoned move which holds huge impact in the capital city.
Keeping the factors of women safety and empowerment, Arvind Kejriwal announced that all the women are set to travel for free from tomorrow.
The Minister of transport, Govt of NCT of Delhi, Kailash Gahlot took to Twitter to announce this historical decision by the Delhi Government.
He said - ' Historic day for Delhi !!! Females will travel for free in all buses from 29/10/19. Notification has been issued. Delhi Govt under dynamic leadership of Honble Cm @Arvindkejriwal stands committed to ensure safety and security of Female passengers in Buses. '

The order for Cluster buses released by the Government of NCT od Delhi reads - In accordance with the Cabinet Decision bearing No.2738 dated 29.08.2019 of the Council of Ministers, Government of NCT of Delhi, it is hereby ordered that female passengers shall travel free in Cluster buses (both AC and Non-AC) on the basis of issurance of "Single journey free Travel Pass" by the Conductor. However, they will have the option to purchase ticket for the journey. This order shall come into force on 29th October, 2019.
This issue with prior approval of Hon'ble Minister (Transport), Government of NCT of Delhi. And as per the decision, the women have already been given the Pink Single Journey Pass being given to female passengers in Buses today
