Dentist abuses niece sexually in his Hyderabad home more than 20 times in a month

Hyderabad: A dentist had allegedly sexually abused his niece at his home in Petbasheerabad. The 20-year-old victim was staying with her elder uncle for her education, the police said. The abuse which had been going for quite a long time came to light after the girl mustered courage and approached the SHE teams of Cyberabad police following which she was rescued and a case was registered against her uncle Dr Vinod at Petbasheerabad police station.

According to the police, the girl’s family lives in Mahabubnagar district. Dr Vinod was living in the city and working for a leading hospital. As he settled here, the girl’s parents sent her to the city for higher studies and arranged accommodation along with Vinod.

Taking advantage of the situation, he started sexually abusing her and threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed it to her parents or others. Since August, when he first sexually abused her, he had resorted to abuse on several occasions. As the torture was increasing gradually, she finally reported the matter to the SHE teams. The victim told the SHE teams that Vinod had sexually abused her more than 20 times during this period.

Petbasheerabad police registered a case against Vinod under charges of rape, recorded the victim’s statement and sent her for medical examination. Further investigation is underway, the police officials said.
