DGP shifts investigating officer from vet doctor murder case

Hyderabad: The police top brass have swung into action by cleansing its own department. After drawing flak over alleged police delay in pursuing the culprits responsible for the tragic death of Hyderabad veterinarian Disha (name changed), decision makers from the department have initiated swift follow-up action.
"The investigation officer probing Abhaya Reddy murder case has been shifted by the DGP. This follows allegations of police negligence in responding to the incident. Charminar ACP Anjaiah is investigating officer of the case" a communication from Telangana DGP's office stated.
Meanwhile, police appealed to citizens, especially women, to be alert and approach them.
