Disturbed over heartbreak, techie strips naked and blocks traffic at Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: A naked man, apparently emotionally disturbed, blocked traffic on Road No. 3 at the upscale Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Friday morning. Motorists called the police after the man started pelting stones at their vehicles.

Sources said the man identified as Rakshak Raju is a software professional employed with a multinational company at Gachibowli and had been roaming with a dishevelled appearance for the past three days. He plunged into depression after a failed love affair, they said.

The police responded to calls from office goers who feared that the man might injure people. When the cops tried to take him into custody, they could not control him initially. He damaged a window of a patrolling van, while a constable suffered injuries in the process. After much struggle, he was taken to a police station.

Police sources said the cops have informed the man's family and he could be shifted to a hospital for mental health care.
