Hyderabad: A video is going viral on both Facebook and Twitter, claiming that it shows the fight between the Police and Muslim immigrants on the streets of France. It claims that when the Muslim immigrants started a riot, as they want Shira Law implemented. And the French police shot them.

In the wake of the nationwide protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Lot of people on social media are finding this video interesting. Many users are comparing the rights of Indian Police with those of police from other countries.



The video has been shared on other social media platforms also.

Fact Check:

When Newsmeter team extracted screenshots from the video and performed reverse image search, we found many results in the Spanish language. This video has been uploaded on a Youtube channel called Força e Honra - Inscreva-se in November 2019. The description of the video says Military Police Officers attacked by a mob in Cracolândia region of the city of São Paulo in Brazil.

We also found a news article in Libre Noticias, news website and even G1, Brazilian News website. According to the article, this incident took place in the center of Sao Paulo on November 8th, 2019. The military police combat the drug traffickers in street combat in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Hence, the claim that the video is from France and of a street fight between Muslim immigrants and the police is FALSE. It is from Brazil where the fight was between Brazilian Military police and Drug traffickers.
