Drone case: Revanth Reddys bail plea shifted to Kukatpally court, decision tomorrow

Hyderabad, March 10: Malkajgiri MP and Telangana Congress working President Anumula Revanth Reddy’s bail petition has been transferred to the court at Kukatpally, as the magistrate hearing his case was not available in the court on Tuesday. Revanth Reddy was arrested by the Cyberabad police last Thursday and produced before a Rangareddy court at Upparpally, which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.

A day later his counsel moved the bail petition and the court adjourned the hearing to Tuesday As the magistrate was unavailable, the petition will be heard by the in-charge magistrate at Kukatpally court. Revanth may have to move a fresh bail petition. He is currently lodged at Cherlapally central prison.

The court heard arguments on Revanth Reddy bail petition and posted the decision to tomorrow

He is one of the accused in the case registered at Narsingi police station for flying a drone camera to capture to the pictures and surroundings of MAUD Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao’s farmhouse at Miyakhangadda village under Narsingi police limits in the city outskirts. While other accused were arrested on Wednesday, they were granted bail on Friday.

It is alleged that it was at the behest of Revanth Reddy that his brother Krishna Reddy hired the other accused to click pictures. The images and the drone visuals were released to the media by Revanth on Monday. Taking suo-moto cognizance of the incident, as it is a violation of the orders promulgated by a public servant, Narsingi police registered a case and started a probe.
