AP govt to provide free prep material for MPC, BiPC students in 1,355 junior colleges
Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government said it is going to provide free preparation material and coaching to MPC and BiPC students studying in 1,355 junior colleges under the government sector across the State to prepare for national competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
The study material being given to students for free for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics has been specially prepared by a team of top subject experts from both government and private colleges over six months. To make sure students benefit fully from this support, the government has also extended college timings from 9:30 am-4 pm to 9 am-5 pm.
According to minister Nara Lokesh, every day, students will have two hours of coaching based on this new material. Junior Lecturers have been trained to teach the content effectively. Along with this, the students will also have weekly tests, performance reviews and regular progress tracking.
āThis initiative is about giving every student a fair chance to succeed. This step will benefit over 1 lakh students in 1,355 Government Junior Colleges in the government sector and is aimed at bridging the gap between private and government education,ā said Lokesh.
