Bharat Bandh: OU, JNTU postpones semester exam scheduled on 8 December
On Sunday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president and Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, extended his support to the 'Bharat Bandh' declared on 8 December by the farmers.

Hyderabad: The Osamania University and Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University have postponed the exam scheduled on December 8 due to Bharat Bandh call given by farmers organizations.
The Universities said that due to Bharat Bandh, it may affect the transportation to the students.
The Osmania University said the scheduled examinations from December 9 will be held as planned. While the JNTU said that the postponed exam shall be conducted on December 10. The timing of the exam will remain the same.
A joint front of protesting farmer groups, on Friday, rejected the Centre's proposals to amend the three contentious agriculture laws and called for a 'Bharat Bandh' on 8 December.
On Sunday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president and Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, extended his support to the 'Bharat Bandh' declared on 8 December by the farmers. He said that the TRS rank and file would participate actively in the proposed bandh.
KCR said that the farmers are legally agitating against the Centre's farm Bills and that the TRS had opposed the Bills in the Parliament since they were against the interests of the farmers.
"CM KCR felt that there is a need to continue the agitation till the farm Bills are withdrawn. He said that the TRS would work to make the Bharat Bandh successful. He also appealed to the people to stand by the farmers and make the bandh successful," a TRS party statement read.
The farmers' front has called for a total repeal of all the three farm Bills - the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020 - which was passed in the Parliament during the monsoon session.
The Left parties, 10 Central trade unions joint platform, and various Opposition parties all over the county have announced support to the countrywide strike.
