Hyderabad: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the results of the class 12 Board Examination. The exam was conducted from 26 April to 15 June. This year, the overall pass percentage is 92.71%. Out of the 14,35,366 students, 13,30,662 passed the exam.
In 2021, the pass percentage was 99.37% but without writing the board exam.
Girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 94.54% whereas boys secured 91.25%.
Spectacular performance by trans students
Trans students improved their performance with a pass percentage of 100%. In 2019, their pass percentage was 83.33% and in 2020, it was 86.19%.
Trivandrum region stood first in the country with a pass percentage of 98.83% followed by Bengaluru (98.16%), and Chennai (97.79%).
Among the different CBSE institutions, JNV secured the highest pass percentage of 98.93%, followed by the Central Tibetan School Association (CTSA) at 97.96%, and KV at 97.04%.
The government-aided CBSE schools secured 94.81%, and independent CBSE schools secured 92.20%.
93.98% of students in foreign CBSE schools passed the examination.
