She then checked the NTA website for her OMR answer key. None of her answers were marked in her OMR sheet and it was blank except for her name, roll number and the invigilator's signature. "I have attempted 122 questions out of 180. I used a black ink pen and my sign along with the invigilator's sign are on the sheet. How can it be possible for that no answers are marked in the sheet?" said Tanveer Fatima.
Tanveer, 17, a resident of Yakubpura passed her inter exam from Sangam Laxmi Bai Junior college in the city and gave the NEET exam on 13 September. The exam was in offline mode. Tanveer comes from a humble family and she lost her father in February 2002, who was the sole earner of the family. She had obtained more than 90% marks in her Inter exam.
"On 17 October, we called the NTA and complained. They asked us to mail them our queries. So far we have mailed them so many times but are yet to receive a satisfactory answer," said Mohammad Salman Ulla, brother of Tanveer Fatima.
In one of the mails, the NTA asked Fatima to visit their Delhi office. "We are a poor family and we don't have any earnings to make a visit to their office in the middle of a pandemic. Why can't they simply show us the original OMR sheet?" asked Salman Ulla.
Tanveer family doesn't want her to lose a year due to no fault of hers. "I just want my answer sheet to be evaluated manually,' said Tanveer.
